All summer long, festivals across the state have celebrated people and Montana culture. This time it was the animals' turn.
Woofstock, a fundraiser for Heart of the Valley animal shelter, featured animal fun.
The fundraiser includes contests, games and pet-related demonstrations where dogs ever-so-carefully showed off their serious skills.
Some of them posed for photos with owners while others simply tried their best to contain their excitement.
Development Director Kathryn Hohmann said, "We have about 500 dogs here today and everyone is getting along really well; dogs and people. People are taking shelter tours. We've got a chill zone at the side of the shelter and we've got pools of water and shade and its all setup for dogs and people and we are having a good time."
