Forest Service employees have now fallen prey to the government shutdown. All Gallatin National Forest Service offices, including the office in Bozeman, are closed as many employees have been furloughed.
Additionally, some public lands are now closed too.
The Charlie M. Russell Wilderness is closed to all hunting.
All BLM and Army Corp campgrounds are also closed including the Kip recreation area and Fred Robinson Bridge.
Campers are being given 48 hours to leave.
