BOZEMAN - A 30-year tradition continues as the Gallatin Valley Food Bank wraps up its free Thanksgiving meal giveaway tonight.
The food bank prepared 1,500 dinners, and they expected to give them all away. The food boxes include the whole meal deal, from the turkey to mashed potatoes and more.
Operations manager Jill Holder says these meals help feed many during the holiday season.
"We see tears. We see lots of high-fives. It's pretty fun watching people get their Thanksgiving box. Our volunteers have been super helpful, and they will walk people out to their car and it's a very grateful time here," Holder said.
The 1,500 meals this year surpasses last year's 1,400 meals given out.
