GREAT FALLS - Chester Wendell Brown has been charged with driving under the influence for the seventh time.
Brown, 58 years old, was reportedly pulled over along I-15 on Saturday evening; a Montana Highway Patrol trooper pulled up near Brown's car to see if everything was OK.
When the trooper approached Brown's vehicle, Brown began driving away and then pulled over along the shoulder again.
The MHP trooper's report states that Brown got out of the vehicle, and the female passenger moved into the driver's seat.
The trooper noted that Brown's breath smelled of alcohol, his eyes were bloodshot and glassy, and his speech and actions were slurred and slow.
Brown admitted to consuming two beers during lunch.
Brown refused to provide a breath sample; his blood was later drawn at Benefis hospital.
Court documents state that Brown was convicted of DUI in March 2003; January 2003; October 1999; June 1999; October 1998; and April 1998.
Brown also has convictions for theft and tampering with witnesses.
