HELENA - On Sunday a one-vehicle rollover accident north of Helena sent a Great Falls mother and son to the hospital.
At 12:04 Montana Highway Patrol responded to a crash in the median of I-15 around mile-marker 201.
According to MHP trooper Dave Gleich, the woman driving a white sedan southbound went into the median for unknown reasons, then overcorrected, swerving back onto the road, over corrected again and the vehicle rolled multiple times, landing upside down in the median.
The woman and her son were taken to St. Peter's Hospital.
The son had minor injuries, the woman's injuries were "mild to moderate," said trooper Dave Gelich.
Both were wearing seatbelts.
There were two dogs in the vehicle as well and both are okay.
There is no determination yet as to whether alcohol, or speed, were factors.
Authorities have not released the their names.
