MISSOULA - The University of Montana Grizzly men are off to San Jose California to dance in the NCAA tournament.
The basketball team left the University of Montana just after 10:30 a.m. with the team busses heading down Broadway and out to the airport and fans cheering them on from the sidewalks.
The team is led by Big Sky Coach of the Year Wayne Tinkle who says they are more focused this year than last year.
"They feel like they have unfinished business. We didn't perform well last year against a very good Wisconsin team. There's a little more hunger, little more focus to get there and not just take a place in the bracket, but get something done," Tinkle observed.
The #13 seeded Griz take on #4 seed Syracuse on Thursday at 8 p.m.
