VIRGINIA CITY - A 15-year-old Harrison boy accused of bringing guns to school in January has been sentenced to probation.
The teen entered a plea of "true" to a charge of criminal endangerment, according to Madison County court personnel.
He was sentenced by Youth Court Judge Loren Tucker to be on probation until age 18. He must also attend school every day and try to maintain an "A" average. He must apologize in writing to the school and must complete community service.
On Jan. 25, in what court documents say was a political statement, the teen reportedly brought two guns into the school, intending to prove that you don't need an assault rifle to carry out a school shooting.
