A Helena native will be featured once again in Warren Miller's latest ski movie, called "Ticket to Ride."
Scot Schmidt has been a professional skier for about 30 years. His downhill skills can be seen during the section filmed in Montana.
Schmidt can be seen skiing off of steep cliffs and mountainsides at Big Sky, where he spends much of his time. He says he's proud to promote skiing in Montana.
"This film is special because Montana has a really great segment in there about skiing in Montana," Schmidt said. "You know it's such a great place we're just trying to get people to realize that Montana is an awesome destination, there's incredible skiing, the snow is always awesome and you know it's just kind of an initiative by the state of Montana to promote tourism."
The Helena premiere is sponsored and promoted by the Montana Office of Tourism.
The film will debut in Helena this Friday at the Civic Center at 7:30 pm.
Tickets are available at various locations in Helena and also at the door.
