A homeless man convicted of murdering an Anaconda man will spend 40 years in Montana State Prison.
Shane Hans was sentenced on a felony mitigated deliberate homicide charge for the murder of 32 year old Teddy Hildebrant.
Hildebrant was found beaten to death in a field behind the Butte Civic Center on October 12, 2011.
The prosecution and defense made a pre-trial agreement that Hans be incarcerated for 40 years.
Prosecutor Sam Cox said the recommendation is that the defendant be placed at the Montana State Prison or Montana State Hospital.
