An historic part of downtown Bozeman is coming back to life. The neon sign atop the Baxter Hotel is ready for a 're-lighting' ceremony on January 10th.

The sign, erected in 1929, has been 'out of service' for the past forty years, but due to the efforts of multiple people and businesses, is ready to shine once again.

According to Lauren Marvel, Director of Finance for the Baxter Hotel, "It's 're-lighting' history, as we say, I mean the sign hasn't been on for over forty years, and it's the skyline of Bozeman, so it's kind of the iconic downtown sign."

Senator Max Baucus will be a guest speaker at the ceremony, which begins at 5:30 pm in the Baxter Ballroom.
