Icy conditions caused a vehicle rollover and two women were transported to the hospital.
The incident happened about 7 miles north of Butte.
Around 7:37 Monday night, Montana Highway Patrol received a report from a passerbyer of a fatal car crash on Interstate 15, just north of the Woodville Exit.
Montana Highway Patrol says two women were headed south bound when their vehicle hit a patch of ice on a bridge, crashed into the median and rolled once.
The vehicle landed upright on all 4 wheels.
Both women received minor injuries.
The driver suffered a fractured left arm and was wearing a seat belt.
The jaws of life were used to extract her from the vehicle.
The passenger was not wearing her seat belt and received minor lacerations.
Montana Highway Patrol says the passenger has a valid medical reason for not wearing a seat belt.
Both women were transported to St. James Healthcare center in Butte for treatment.
The road department was dispatched to the area during emergency response.
Montana Highway Patrol says several bridges and overpasses were icy Monday night.
