KALISPELL - A Kalispell man pleaded not guilty on Thursday in Flathead District Court to two felony counts of sexual abuse of children.

Prosecutors allege 40-year-old Jeff Evinrude used his cellphone to record underage girls showering.

According to court documents, in 2010, a 12-year-old girl discovered a phone wrapped in a towel on the bathroom floor that had been recording video for about nine minutes.

The girl told her mother, who confronted Evinrude and checked his phone - but police say there was no recording on the phone at that time.

According to the affidavit, the girl's older sister reported a similar incident happening to her in 2009.

If convicted, Evinrude faces life in prison.
