Kalispell man pleads not guilty to drug charges

KALISPELL - A man who is facing five different felony charges denied three of them this week in court.

James Gonzales, 47, is accused of selling heroin, oxycodone and narcotics to a confidential informant during June and July of last year.

He pleaded not guilty to each of the three felony counts of criminal distribution of dangerous drugs on Friday.

He is also charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon, after allegedly shooting his son in the face with a shotgun.

Gonzales could face two separate 20-year prison sentences for those assault charges, and up to three life terms in prison for his felony drug charges.

His next hearing is scheduled for March 6.
