BELGRADE - Teams are always trying to end their regular seasons on a positive note before they head into post season play, and that's exactly what our Athlete of the Week did for the Belgrade Panthers.

"Yeah, he went off. He took ownership of the team," Belgrade head coach Mike Deming said of senior Jeremy Ragar.

That pretty much sums it up. Ragar, the senior point guard for Belgrade, saved his best performance for the last game of the regular season last week, scoring 33 points, including six three-pointers against Park.

He even stunned himself, leaving him a little speechless when trying to recall a performance like that in previous years.

"I was amazed. I didn't think I was going to do that, but it was pretty fun," he recalled.

It's also a little bit of a comeback story for Jeremy. He dislocated his ankle his junior season and sat out the entire year. He comes back here for his senior year for Belgrade and will be playing in his first ever divisional tournament.

"We weren't sure we were going to get him back, but I know this summer when he started playing well, we had him back. We just had to keep him healthy and he can score. That kid Jeremy can shoot it from anywhere," Deming said.

Ragar is a future student at Montana State University, although it will be a tough change from growing up rooting for the other guys.

"I've been a Griz fan since I was little, but I kinda wanted to stay close to home," he explained.
