ROCKER - Two items were reportedly found and tested negative for human blood during the landfill search for a missing Anaconda woman.

On Friday, a forensic K-9 unit was brought into the Butte Silver Bow landfill to search for the body of Tammy Salle. Both dogs alerted their owner of possible human scent. That area was excavated and searched.

John Barnes with the Montana Department of Justice says investigators discovered a piece of tissue and a stick with a dark colored stain. He says both items tested negative for human blood.

That crosses off the landfill as a possible location where Salle may be located.

Barnes says the investigation will now focus on various records, forensics and any additional leads that come up.

He adds that by the end of the eight-day landfill search up to 20 people searched through 800 tons of garbage.
