The Montana RideShare program is challenging Bozeman businesses to increase the number of carpoolers by asking their employees to sign up for the rideshare program.
The design of the program is to match your commuting schedule with others in the Gallatin Valley in order to save on your daily commute. Simply sign up with your preferences, and you will be matched up with someone who has a similar commute schedule.
This program works for more than just the day to day commuting. If you are planning a trip, especially around the holidays, to other cities, you can sign up for that and see if anyone else is traveling the same direction as you.
The Western Transportation Institute at MSU is challenging local businesses to encourage their employees to sign up for the program. Starting January 10th until February 10th, the RideShare program is holding a competition. Random prizes will be given to those who sign up for the program. At the end of the month long competition, prizes will be handed out to the businesses who place in the top 3 in terms of percentage of employees signed up.
