HAMILTON - Falling water levels are taking their toll at a popular Bitterroot recreation spot.
Tod McKay with the Bitterroot National Forest says the boat dock at Lake Como will be removed this Wednesday because the water level has dropped steadily in recent weeks.
The swim lines near the beach area were removed last week. This is several weeks earlier than normal.
According to the Montana Official State travel site, Lake Como Lower Campground is located southwest of Hamilton, Montana at an elevation of 4,500 feet. It is a large irrigation reservoir.
