Man accused in Three Forks sex case appears in court

BOZEMAN - A man accused of having sex with a 14-year-old girl appeared in court today after being arrested on a warrant.

Jason Jay Norris appeared in Gallatin County District Court, charged with one count of sexual intercourse without consent, a felony.

Norris is currently being held in the Gallatin County Detention Center on $50,000 bail.

According to court documents, Norris admitted to having sex with the girl but told a detective he did it after being threatened by his friend, Robert Sapien. Sapien reportedly videotaped Norris and the girl having sex in the summer of 2010, according to court documents.

Sapien was arrested on similar charges last year and is also accused of having sex with the girl. He is currently in jail awaiting trial.
