ANACONDA - An Anaconda violent offender that fled from law enforcement is scheduled to change his plea in Dawson County.
William Schmidt is charged with two counts of felony assault on peace officer and one count of misdemeanor criminal mischief.
Last November, Schmidt reportedly held an Anaconda man at gunpoint, stole his 9 millimeter pistol, money and pick-up truck. Schmidt was found in Dawson County by two Fish, Wildlife and Parks game wardens later that month and a standoff ensued.
He is scheduled for a change of plea hearing in Dawson County District Court at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
