BUTTE - A man accused of injuring an officer during a shooting on Dewey Boulevard pleaded not guilty this morning to seven felony charges.
Ryan Maloney, 38, allegedly waved a gun in front of children, another adult male and law enforcement in early April. Court documents say he caused serious bodily injury to Lt. Jeff Williams by shooting a rifle in his direction.
Maloney is charged with five counts of felony criminal endangerment and two counts of assault on a peace officer.
If convicted, Maloney could spend a maximum of 70 years in prison.
An omnibus hearing has been scheduled for June 20.
Maloney is being held on a $150,000 bond.
