A man is dead after being hit by a vehicle on Highway 2 in Glacier County early Sunday morning.
The incident occurred around 2 a.m. near mile marker 212 on Highway 2.
A 29-year-old woman, whose name has not yet been released, reportedly left the Trailhead Bar around 1:45 a.m. after having several drinks and headed east toward Browning.
The woman told Montana Highway Patrol she was reading a text and saw something "brown" in front of her car and said it felt like something struck her vehicle.
She stopped the vehicle, but reportedly didn't see anything and continued on to Browning.
The woman was stopped around 3 a.m. for a traffic violation in Browning and told tribal officers she thought she hit a horse on the road earlier in the morning.

A 42-year-old man was killed; his name has not yet been released.
Alcohol and speed were both factors in the crash.
It is not yet known what charges the woman may face.
