One person died after being hit by a vehicle in Sunburst in Toole County early Monday.
The Toole County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to the Sunburst Vets Club Bar at about 12:50 a.m. after receiving a report that several people had been hit by a vehicle. The Montana Highway Patrol was dispatched to 1st Street and Frontage Road just after 1:30 a.m.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene; the person's name has not been released yet.
Two other people were taken to Marias Medical Center in Shelby for treatments but the nature and extent of their injuries has not been released.
25-year-old Charles Geoffrey Santoro of Kevin has been identified as the driver of the vehicle. He is in custody in the Toole County Detention Center pending charges of negligent homicide and negligent vehicular assault.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
