Man killed in Missoula bridge accident

MISSOULA - A 34-year-old man is dead after a three vehicle accident that happened Sunday morning on the Reserve Street Bridge.

The Missoula Police Department says the wreck happened around 10:30 a.m. when the male driver was heading northbound, crossed into the southbound lanes and then collided with two other vehicles.

The man was taken to a Missoula hospital where he died.

The two southbound drivers were also injured,one was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The accident stopped traffic in the southbound lanes for quite some time and one northbound lane was also closed for a large portion of the afternoon.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation, but road conditions were described as slick.
