NINEMILE - A man who authorities say may have been trapped in his car for several days was pulled free on Friday morning.
A resident who lives in the Ninemile area contacted the U.S. Forest Service on Friday morning after finding a Chevy Impala in a ditch beside a road off of West Ninemile Road.
The crash site is reportedly near mile marker 13 on West Ninemile Road, near U.S. Forest Road 5520.
A Montana Highway Patrol trooper on the scene says an investigation into the incident is underway, but it appears the man failed to negotiate a curve on the narrow road and the Impala ended up on its side in a ditch.
The Montana Highway Patrol, U.S. Forest Service, Frenchtown firefighters, and an ambulance from Missoula all responded to the scene.
We do not yet know if the man sustained any serious injuries.
We will update you when we learn more.
