Man suspected of shooting father is captured during traffic stop

BILLINGS - A man suspected of shooting his father last month is behind bars in Yellowstone County.

Brandon White, 23, was arrested early Tuesday morning during a traffic stop in Laurel. Yellowstone County Sheriff Mike Linder said White was arrested without incident

White is accused of shooting his father, Walter White, 52, on January 29. The shooting happened outside of W. White's business located at 1270 Lockwood Road. W. White was injured and taken to St. Vincent Healthcare.

The suspect is being held in the Yellowstone County Detention Facility on the charges of assault with a weapon, driving a motor vehicle with a revoked or suspended license, and operating a vehicle without insurance.

White is expected to appear in Yellowstone County Justice Court on Thursday.
