A Butte man was sentenced to 3 years with the Department of Corrections after escaping from a courtroom.
Terrance Falcon Jr., 33, appeared in Butte Silver Bow District Court Thursday.
Falcon admitted to committing the offense of felony Escape.
In June he fled a courtroom after he was told he would be going to jail. Officials say Falcon indicated to the Court that he panicked and was sorry. He acknowledged that after sitting in an alley he decided to turn himself in.
Falcon violated the terms of a suspended 2009 felony theft sentence by escaping court.
On Thursday he was sentenced to a 3 year commitment with the Department of Corrections.
He also received suspended 3 year sentence with Montana State Prison for the escape charge.
