BUTTE - People that have come for the Rainbow gathering have set up medical centers at the camp location to help with health needs.
These "CALM units" are equipped to treat Rainbow gatherers with heat-related illnesses, Butte-Silver Bow public registered nurse Karen Maloughney said.
Maloughney and the Beaverhead County Health Department will head up to the site location, about 10 miles southwest of Jackson.
The crew visits the camp on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays.
Maloughney says the units are very well equipped and that the Rainbow gathering has very self-sustaining people.
A heat advisory is in effect through midnight Tuesday for an area including the Rainbow Family gathering area.
As of this morning there were 6,000 people and 1,100 vehicles at the gathering near Jackson.
