Missing skiers found safe after caught in avalanche

Gallatin County Search and Rescue was dispatched to the Hyalite Canyon area Saturday night on a report of two missing skiers.

Lieutenant Jason Jarrett says SAR began the search around 11 p.m. and discovered the skiers shortly after. The skiers had been caught in an avalanche and were searching for a ski that had gone missing in the process. According to the sheriff's office they are believed to be uninjured.
