MISSOULA - A Missoula man was arrested early Tuesday morning after he allegedly shot his wife in the face.
Missoula police say it happened just before 1:30 a.m. in the 1700 block of South 8th Street.
Mark Tabish, 55, of Missoula shot his 49-year-old wife in the face, but she was able to drive herself to the hospital for treatment, according to investigators. Officers learned about the incident once the woman was at the hospital.
They responded to the house where the alleged shooting happened and called Tabish to have him come outside. He came out unarmed and was taken into custody.
Investigators say alcohol played a role in this incident.
Police say it doesn't appear that the woman suffered life-threatening injuries.
