MISSOULA - Byron Curtis Butterfly was sentenced in Missoula District Court on Tuesday for driving drunk with his infant daughter while also being involved in two car crashes in January of last year.
Butterfly was given a three-year deferred sentence for felony criminal endangerment as well as misdemeanor counts of aggravated driving under the influence.
The case began in January 2012 when Butterfly crashed into a car near the Super Walmart on Mullan, a second one near Walmart on Brooks Street, and then crashed into a snow berm.
Following the first accident, his passenger - who is the uncle of the 11-month year old girl - removed the child from the vehicle and returned her unharmed to the mother.
Butterfly's blood alcohol content was more than three times the legal limit.
