Missoula PD investigating possible sexual assault of a 4-year-old

MISSOULA - Missoula Police are looking into a possible sexual assault of a 4-year-old girl that may have happened at a daycare.

Police say the parents of the girl made the report just after 7:30 on Thursday night.

Investigators say when the parents picked up their daughter from a Missoula daycare, she started talking to them about sex and said that someone had a conversation about it with her. Detectives say the 4-year-old never specifically said anything about being sexually assaulted and they say the parents told them she wouldn't have learned about sex at home.

The child was taken to First Step for a forensic interview and police are investigating the case as a possible sexual assault.
