The Montana Highway Patrol still trying to piece together a fatal car-pedestrian accident that killed one person early Monday morning near Big Timber.
According to current information,an elderly man from Alaska was hit by a vehicle in the westbound lane of I-90 just before 7 a.m. on Monday.
For an unknown reason, the victim was outside of his vehicle when he was hit.
The other vehicle involved in the crash left the scene, but officials now believe that a suspect vehicle has been located in Park County, but no witnesses have come forward as yet.
The accident blocked both westbound lanes of the Interstate until around noon, while investigators and emergency responders worked the scene.
Traffic was detoured onto the Frontage Road to avoid the area.
