What dispatchers believed was a fatal accident was fortunately not.
A rollover accident on US Highway 12, south of White Sulphur Springs, near mile marker 22 left a 24-year-old woman and small child hospitalized.
Montana Highway Patrol says the 24-year-old Roundup woman was en route to Townsend when she allegedly fell asleep at the wheel.
Troopers say the woman drifted off the road, over corrected left then over corrected right and rolled one and a half time landing at an embankment.
MHP says the woman was unconscious and not breathing when they arrived at the scene but gained consciousness and was taken to St. Peter's in Helena.
Law enforcement says the child appears to be uninjured and that alcohol was not considered a factor in the accident.
