Montana legislator wants state to pay him in gold and silver

KALISPELL - One Montana legislator says he's so worried about the nation's financial wellbeing - he wants to be paid with gold and silver coins.
According to the Kalispell Daily Inter Lake newspaper, Jerry O'Neil says, "It is very likely the bottom will fall out from under the U.S. dollar. Only so many dollars can be printed before they have no value."
The Inter Lake reports, O'Neil wants the market value of gold and silver for the $83 he is paid each day the Legislature convenes.
