BILLINGS - Football fans eager to watch Montana State's playoff opener against Stony Brook Saturday have another option.

ESPN told Montana State officials Monday that the network will carry Saturday's showdown on ESPN GampPlan, which is pay-per-view.

ESPN originally announced the game would be shown on ESPN3, which is internet only. Until last week, most Montana internet customers couldn't receive ESPN3 because their online providers didn't offer the option. Last week, Optimum (formerly Bresnan) announced it is now offering ESPN3 free to its subscribers.

Saturday's kickoff between Montana State and Stony Brook is set for 5 p.m. in Bozeman. Stony Brook beat Villanova 20-10 at home in its playoff opener last Saturday. The Bobcats had an opening round bye.
