GLENDIVE -Jury selection got underway in Dawson County District Court Monday morning in the murder trial of Walter Larson.
The former Billings man is accused in the 2008 killing his ex-wife Susan Casey, and then dumping her body into the Yellowstone River near Glendive.
The 41-year old Larson is accused of strangling Casey to death outside her Glendive apartment, then throwing her body into the river.
Court documents in the case reference a love triangle between Larson, Casey and another man she was seeing.
Larson was arrested in Phoenix, Arizona in February of 2012 and charged with deliberate homicide and tampering with evidence.
Opening statements in the case will be presented Tuesday morning once court convenes at 8:30.
District Judge Richard Simonton is presiding over the trial.
