Name of man killed in ATV crash released

A Townsend man who died in an ATV crash has been identified as 61-year-old John Prather.

According to the Broadwater County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened at around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The Montana Highway Patrol reports that Prather was driving downhill on Little Cottonwood Road when he lost control. The ATV rolled, killing him.

The MHP says Prather was not wearing a helmet and that neither speed nor alcohol were factors.
