Construction in Bozeman is clearly booming.
One of the many indications of this is the approval of 2 new subdivisions. Officials say these 2 contracts are the largest subdivision contracts Bozeman has seen in years.
"I think this is an indicator that there is enough market activity to support additional supply in our community for home construction," said Bozeman Mayor Sean Becker.
BMW, LLC, of Bozeman plans to subdivide the Knoll at Baxter West which includes over 26 acres with 65 residential and single household lots. The remaining area will be open spaces, trails and streets.
Bank of Bozeman and the Holyoke group of Bozeman, has applied to subdivide The Crossing at Baxter Meadows which includes over 36 acres with 95 residential and single household lots and one multi-household lot. The remaining area will be open spaces, trails and streets
"Our past couple years have been exceedingly slow, such that our planning board practically went a year without evening meeting so this is the first time this year that we've received binders for subdivisions," said Becker.
Becker says plat and infrastructure development will likely take all summer before any houses can be built.
