NorthWestern Energy announced it will continue to be a major sponsor of the Montana Folk Festival this July.
The company has sponsored the festival since its inception in 2008, according to Claudia Rapkoch, a representative for NorthWestern Energy. It has provided $100,000 for the festival in years past.
Several Northwestern Energy employees volunteer their time every year at the festival, according to Rapkoch. Representatives at the company say they are proud to help sustain this enriching community event.
Crowds are expected to grow to about 150,000 or more this year, according to George Everett, executive director of Mainstreet Uptown Butte. Sponsorship opportunities are still available. Visit www.montanafolkfestival.com or call 497-6464.
