Shodair Children's Hospital in Helena turned National Pancake Day into a way of raising awareness and funds for Montana families.

The International House of Pancakes - better known as IHOP - sponsored a pancake-stacking competition on Tuesday.

The event featured Sam Faulkner, who serves as the current "Champion Child" representing Montana for the Children's Miracle Network, along with Lieutenant Governor John Walsh, Miss Montana Alexis Wineman, and MTN reporter Shannon Newth.

Last year, Shodair raised $6,000 with the fundraiser, and this year hopes to raise $10,000.
