BILLINGS - Millions of people are taking to the internet to sound off.
Among this buzz is a petition demanding the resignation of Judge Todd Baugh.
Petition organizers exceeded their goal of 15,000 signatures and have now set a new goal of 20,000.
The number of petition signers grew quickly throughout the day - as a matter of fact - it was created only on Tuesday night.
Created on the website "moveon.org", the petition states, "In response to the local and national outrage over Baugh's victim-shaming and willingness to excuse the behavior of the defendant, we petition that Judge Baugh resign from his position as district court judge."
Signatures and comments have come from all across the U.S. and other countries.
A silent protest is scheduled to take place on Thursday on the lawn of the Yellowstone County Courthouse.
That is set to begin at noon and is also expecting a huge turn out.
The petition can be viewed here.
