MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) Police are searching for a 2-year-old child after they say his mother took him without permission from the Missoula rehabilitation center where she was being treated.
Missoula police Lt. Steve Brester said Monday the boy, Ian Rondeau, is a ward of the state who was staying with his mother, Chandra Rondeau, in the Carole A. Graham Home in Missoula. The home is a long-term addiction treatment center for women with their children.
Brester says officials at the home discovered the mother and child missing after midnight, and police believe the child may be in danger. He says Chandra Rondeau's boyfriend, 50-year-old Patrick Thomas Shea, may be traveling with them in a small pickup truck, and they may be headed to Butte.
