HOUSTON, TEXAS - A college campus in Texas is on lockdown amid reports of a shooter on campus.
Lone Star College System issued an alert on its website Tuesday telling students and faculty on its Houston-area campus in north Harris County to take immediate shelter or avoid the campus. Spokesman Jed Young says there are reports of a shooter.
CBS affiliate KHOU Houston reports that three people, including the suspect, was shot, said deputy constables. According to the report, one male was brought out of the library on a stretcher and handcuffed to a stretcher, according to eyewitnesses.
A student said she and other people went underneaeth their desks when they heard the gunshots, KHOU added.
Aerial footage from local television stations shows emergency personnel attending to some people on stretchers. Others can be seen running from a building led by officers.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office says it has no immediate details.
