103 Butte children are getting ready for school, thanks to the Salvation Army.
Backpacks filled with school supplies are going to needy children in the area.
Last year 70 children needed assistance.
On Saturday, the kids will head to Walmart for $110 worth of clothing.
Money is running tight for the Salvation Army as the need for assistance has gone up.
Their budget is around $1,200 a month, and they're spending that in the first 10 days.
"We always need help," Salvation Army Ambassador Clair Little, said. "There's never a season that we don't need help. Then we can do more for those people that have to have things are aren't able to afford them."
Citizens can make cash, clothing or furniture donations to the Butte Salvation Army.
It is located on Harrison Avenue near Montana Broom and Brush.
