Multiple aids from Gallatin County in full swing tonight attempting to rescue an injured skier.
The call came in just after 2PM this afternoon on a report of a male skier who had been injured on Blackmore peak in the Haylite canyon area.
Officials say the skier hit rocks on his decent aproximately 700 feet below the summit of Blackmore Peak on the north side
At this time his injuries are not clear but we are told he may have several broken ribs as well as a back injury.
We last heard an experienced skier was making his way to the victim via helicopter. The victim is reportedly with a group of friends.
