The manhunt for potentially dangerous, escaped Montana State Prison inmate continues tonight.
Several law enforcement agencies are looking looking for 42 year old Dean Randolph Jess.
Around 11 a.m. Jess went on a motor vehicle maintenance service call in the Bielenberg Area just East of the Racetrack area. The vehicle he was traveling in was found abandoned on the southern perimeter of the prison ranch.
Now a dozen Montana State Prison Officers are searching for him. Five of those are SWAT Team certified.
They're joined by Powell County Sheriff's Office, Anaconda-Deerlodge County Sheriff's Office and Montana Highway Patrol in the search.
The teams will keep searching through the night.
Jess was wearing a blue shirt with pants when he was last seen.
He is 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build and weight 180 pounds.
He has green eyes and a shaved head.
The public is advised that Jess should not be approached, he could be dangerous. If you've seen Jess you should call authorities or 911 immediately.
Montana State Prison has contacted nearby law enforcement agencies about bringing in dogs to track Jess but none are available.
