BUTTE - A semi truck hauling glass crashed on Interstate 90 on Homestake Pass near Butte at about 2:30 a.m. Thursday morning, just 100 feet from where a grain truck crashed earlier this week.

Two people were in the truck. Both were transported to St. James in Butte. There is no word yet on their conditions.

Crews are still working to repair a guard rail heavily damaged by Tuesday's crash. Those working on it say some of the work they completed on the guard rail yesterday was ripped out again by today's crash.

Another crew is working to vacuum up spilled grain from the Tuesday crash and other crews are retrieving the truck and cleaning up glass from the latest crash.

As of 10:30 a.m. one lane of eastbound traffic on I-90 remains closed for about a half mile while work proceeds. Crews say they expect to finish their cleanup effort and have the guardrail replaced by the end of the day.
