WHITEFISH - Tuesday was a great day to head up to the mountain where it was looking like spring, which makes for some great skiing.
Whitefish Mountain Resort is wrapping up the season in a few weeks with its last day of operation set for April 7. There are special events planned every weekend until then.
There's been less snow up top this year than last, but overall mountain staffers say it's been a strong season.
"Well as far as numbers go, we've had a really good season. We're really happy. We had a spectacular Christmas weekend and did pretty well over President's [Day], but overall we're pacing really well this year and had a lot of happy skiers," Whitefish Mountain Resort Public Relations Manager Riley Polumbus said.
The mountain opens and closes around the same dates every year to be in compliance with their lease from the U.S. Forest Service.
