BOZEMAN - The fire that burned part of Sola Cafe on September 14 caused more damage than initially thought. While the fire was small, smoke damage extends throughout Sola, prompting weeks of restoration and sheetrock removal.
Fire investigators have ruled out arson, determining that an electrical unit sparked in an upstairs room, causing the small blaze.
Fire alarms did not alert dispatch, as the fire burned through telephone wires that would have relayed the alarm signal.
Cafe owner Tiffany Lach hopes to be open by Thanksgiving.
