ST. REGIS - A standoff between an unknown suspect, Mineral County and Montana Highway Patrol has both sides of Montana Highway 135 near St. Regis covered by armed officers and police cars.
Reports of shots fired came in around 7 p.m. on Wednesday, about one mile north of the St. Regis exit from I-90, near the OK Cafe.
When MTN News arrived on the scene around 8:30 p.m., two officers wearing bullet proof vests and carrying rifles kept a safe distance behind their car doors awaiting the next move.
While early reports indicate that no one was harmed, authorities remain on high alert while maintaining the perimeter.
